This link provides a
direct route to Carly Fiorina's Up Project website. On this website Carly
provides a Mission Statement, and most mission statements are written as a
declaration of a candidate's view points and core purpose. Throughout Carly's
mission statement she uses multiple examples of American's unlocking their full
potential, although this idea has been a focal point of my past blog postings,
this theme has been a major aspect of Carly's campaign.
Through the use of
Carly’s political jargon we are able to appropriate our stance on different
issues to the way Carly views her solutions. Carly begins “Stacking the Deck”
in her mission statement by providing the views solely in favor of her beliefs
and ideals. This is proved through her idea of targeting women voters and
maximizing their full potential by using technology, through the use of the Up
Project.
I believe Carly’s Up
Project campaign will prove to be successful not only because of the publicity
the project has been receiving via social media, but because of the new ideas
that Carly stands for. Many candidates claim to have an interest in women’s
rights and the betterment of women as a whole, but little publicly state
their devotion to the issue. Carly has stated her stance on the issue, which is
bridging the gap between women and technology, and has vowed to do everything
she can within her campaign to accomplish it.

I definitely see how her stance for woman's rights will benefit her. She has already defined what it seems that her central message and campaign is based around accomplishing the gap between technology and woman.
ReplyDeleteI agree, she is doing a great job at targeting women
DeleteI think you made valid points and provided evidence of what she wants to do. What ways do you believe that she will attempt to win more voters through other viewpoints? Does she have this type of compassionate-- for lack of a better term-- stance on other important issues as well?
ReplyDeleteI believe that Carly will start reaching out to a younger demographic as time prevails. Yes, she does. I only have decided to mainly focus on her attempt to gain women's votes, but she is very passionate about other important issues.
